I like my characters to be busy, so they’re either gardening, holding a bouquet, pushing a wagon or … they’re in the band! I used to play classical piano, but can’t do that anymore due to some joint issues. The band theme came about fifteen years ago, about ten years into my work. The instruments come from flea markets, antique shops, garage sales. Everywhere.
